I’M A BAD BUDDHIST

Well I mean technically there isn’t a bad way. Wait, yes there is. Of course there is a bad way. Umm ignorance and plain disregard for teachings?

I’ve had years of studying, learning, and practice and I’m still so weak in my resolve on some things. Christians, in my opinion, have it so easy. They get to do whatever, repent and say they’re sorry, then resume and repent some more. For me, put simply, I get bit in the ass from the universe just for a wrong thought whether I’m sorry or not. Tell me, do you have the self-control to handle a reactionary thought and keep it peaceful?

And these last 2 days was a tough one up there in my head.

I say “put simply” because this post is not a breakdown of my religion. That can be another time if I feel like it. Continue Reading

That’s it. I know I was always against tattoos of a “branding” nature, but I am getting a Twenty-One Pilots tattoo. It must be done.

WARM AND FUZZY FEELING

A midday post. Why not? I can’t always wait until I’m all brooding in the middle of the night to put thought to screen. Sometimes it comes to me in the daylight.

I had a great few hours with my Marshmallow today. “Marshmallow” is what I call my 14 year old brother..because he’s small and chubby, soft, and just makes you happy like a marshmallow. I made some time in my itinerary to surprise my brother and drive up to his school and pick him up. I bought him lunch, and we went to Gamestop to get him something before I brought him home.

The hug I got was awesome. Continue Reading

First, let me tell you that this is the first movie to ever make me cry when I was younger. I only dropped one tear at the time (I was a tough guy), but it still counts. Second, if you haven’t seen this movie, I highly suggest you do. There is one overarching theme present throughout, but it also contains a lot of other issues that invoke deep thought and realization.

But the movie is not my topic of writing tonight. HIV is. Continue Reading

DON’T COME FOR ME AND MY HEADPHONES

This is my graceful word of warning to the general public about my travel habits:

I DO NOT WISH TO ASSOCIATE WITH ANYONE WHILE I AM MOVING FROM PLACE TO PLACE BY MYSELF!!

While taking public transportation, I have my earbuds in my ears. Full sound cancelling technology so I hear nothing, but my music. I have a book which I am preoccupying myself with as well because I want to read a story and remove myself from the environment. Maybe I am watching a movie on my phone. I have full torrent capabilities and access to Netflix. I will be fully involved in my screen if I feel like it. If I’m driving, please believe my music is up to a level where it gives me the same effect as my earbuds. You better be really lost if you want to come to me at a red light for directions.  Continue Reading

MY BROTHER IS BETTER THAN YOURS BECAUSE HE’S MINE

I guess there arose a moment of life reflection while I was in the back seat of the Explorer laying on my little brother while he was asleep on the drive back home. It was comfortable. We had a long way to go. To be fair, he always makes me his pillow so I guess this was a little “brotherly justice”.

We were out celebrating my other brother’s 16th birthday on Saturday at a steakhouse in New Jersey that he wanted to go to. The food was awesome. The drive was awesome too. It has been so weird, yet wonderful, watching my brother cross these teenage years. From his whiny and temperamental early pubescent phase to the cool and full of himself venture into “young man” status. He is really growing up fast and I couldn’t be more proud of the dude he’s becoming. It’s also pretty cool seeing the ways he takes after me and what he does better than me. Continue Reading
